Robert W. Dodd (In Memoriam)

Remembering Robert W. Dodd

Our colleague Robert W. Dodd passed away in March 2013.

Robert Dodd was the president and managing attorney of Dodd & Maatuka. He worked in private practice after receiving his J.D. from the University of Illinois in 1974. His primary areas in the practice were profit and non-profit corporations, business organization, real estate, and providing legal advice to start-up companies.

In addition to his work with agricultural cooperatives and small companies, he had a particular interest in family law matters and the needs of the elderly and developmentally disabled. Robert served as a Champaign City Council member before his election to Champaign City Mayor. He was a constant source of leadership in the business community.
